MULTO

My comic book, Multo, published by Retrofit Comics, is now available!
Multo, the Tagalog word for ghost, is a collection of autobiographical comics by Andrew Lorenzi. The stories explore: memory, identity, folklore & faith, sleep paralysis, and the daily rhythms of life. Told through drawings, paintings, and embroidery, Multo is a comic book meditation on the cycles which shape our lives.

Multo, my first collection of short comic stories, will debut this November, at Comic Arts Brooklyn, published by Retrofit Comics!
Multo is available to preorder from Retrofit, comics shops, and bookstores. I will be selling signed copies on my Bigcartel, which will be available for preorder soon.
Multo is 40 pages, full color, perfect bound, printed at 9”x12”. The stories explore faith & Filipino folklore, sleep paralysis, and more autobiographical short stories. The comics were made with gouache, watercolor, & pencil.
I will be at Comic Arts Brooklyn to promote the book, where I’ll be happy to sign copies!
Thank you to Box Brown and Jared Smith at Retrofit Comics , my friends, readers, and fellow cartoonists for your support over the years. Thank you to Lauren Feret for assisting with colors and lettering.
I will post when signed copies are available for preorder from my Bigcartel.
Winter sketchbook warm-up comics and drawings.
In order to warm up for my long-term comic and cartoon projects, I like to begin my day by drawing stream of consciousness comics while eating breakfast. I carry this 5x8 sketchbook with me at all times, for drawing on the go.
Trailer for Dash Shaw’s “My Entire High School Sinking Into The Sea”
So cool to join the GKids label alongside all the Studio Ghibli movies, Sfar’s The Rabbi’s Cat, and other forward-thinking animations! Yes! A Spring 2017 release.

I was incredibly honored to contribute to Dash Shaw and Jane Samborski’s “My Entire High School Sinking into the Sea.” I collaborated as a background painter, working entirely in gouache and watercolor on paper.
Since I was young enough to draw, comics and animation have been my life. It’s been a dream to be a part of this extraordinary film, and to be among other visionaries in independent animation.
